About Statement

I had the honour of training with Dr. Ingmar Gorman and Dr. Elizabeth Neilson in the first comprehensive psychedelic integration training program in the world. I am endlessly enthusiastic about helping individuals understand and integrate the noetic experiences derived from plant medicine journeys. I understand from first hand experience how they can be traumatic, disappointing or confusing. 

Often, the best antidote to pain is to have it witnessed, non-judgmentally.  And the best place to do that is often through the container of therapy. Through our therapeutic relationship, I empower my clients to find the answers to their life's concerns by consulting with subtle bodily sensations and using them as guides. I believe that true healing comes from two souls making contact. 

I have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and I am licensed as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (license #16727). My Master’s thesis was a qualitative analysis on the experiences that individuals with brain injury have in counselling. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UBC.

My main therapeutic orientation is Accelerated-Experiential Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an attachment-based, neuroscience-informed approach. It works wonderfully well in supporting individuals in gaining the emotional insights they need to navigate the world. I often also incorporate mindfulness skills and cognitive behavioural therapy in my sessions. I also have specialized training in sex therapy, and Gottman Level 1. 

I understand that choosing a therapist is highly personal. Here's some information about me that might help you make a choice: Spirituality has been an important component of my self-care practice, although I am not religious in any traditional sense of the word. My parents are immigrants from China and I was born in Canada. I speak Cantonese as an additional language.
